Welcome to the Land of Narnia!!

Well, our middle son's birthday is actually the 29th, but because we will be out of town at a homeschool conference, we decided to do it this weekend. Because of the move last year, we weren't able to do it. So he literally has been planning this party for 2 LOOOONG years. Believe me when I say, that he has reminded me of it EVERYDAY! I was only going to do this once, so it was a combined family/friend party. I bought sound making swords at the $1 store. We also separated into two teams of Peter and Edmund. Here are some pictures from the event:

Here is the Cake (HIS idea!). It was a red velvet, his choice:

The LAND of Narnia (OUR GARAGE!!) We had brown paper over the door and the oldest one drew a picture of the wardrobe. ALL Of the walls were covered in either white sheets/blankets or cheap $1 white table cloths. All three boys spent a couple of hours making snow flakes that we hung from the ceiling with floss and tape. My parents borrowed an overhead and my mom printed off a transperancy of a scene from Narnia on the opposite wall. The tables were drapped in white and the silverware and plates were white. We had fans in there too. It was 97 degrees Sat.

The Guests in the land of Narnia:

We set up a Narnia treasure hunt. These are the Narnian guests looking for their items:

There were duels outside. The man in yellow is our pastor and the one on the right is our oldest one:

What a great party!! Looks like so much fun. You did a wonderful job. Isn't it great to have the kids help so much with the planning and organizing of the party.

Happy Birthday!
