Get ready for our Second Annual 30 days of Joy.
What is 30 days of Joy? It is taking the time to bless others during the blessed Christmas/Advent Season, daily. We have found after we moved here that we have two sets of elderly neighbors. One on the side of us and the other across the street. Sometimes they just want us to stay and talk, because they are lonely and sometimes they just love the attention. People you could look out for to bless might be elderly neighbors, single moms, disabled persons, or anyone really. It is supposed to be in secret (but they might eventually find out) and during each 30 days, think of ways to bless your neighbors. It could be many different ways. We are going to start off by putting Poinsetta plants on their porch. It could be handmade cards, etc. It doesn’t have to be expensive to be thoughtful and mean a lot! Make sure to especially involve your children in the process! They might help you think of the ideas. Then throughout the year, you can pick up little nick-nacks for this specific time of year!
So the question for my readers, is what way does your family specifically minister to and bless others during this time of the season? What ways can you look for or who can you look for to show them the love of Jesus? Well that is what we will be continuing on during this time. We will be talking about different specific ideas and ways to bring others JOY!
** 30 Days of Joy is a Blog Carnival of sorts and so we need you to refer back to here, so that we can all see your comments. Make sure you post a link back to here.
