(Above is our oldest Joshua, with Noah at his Birthday party in early August)

(little man, Noah)

We are friends with the Estes Family. Maybe you are familiar with them, and maybe not. Noah was born with a mitochondrial disease, a rare, yet terminal disease depending on the severeity. Noah is the 7th blessing amongst 8 blessings in the Estes Family. On Saturday, Noah became VERY ill, VERY fast. He started running a high fever, was shaking uncontrollably and lethargic. They have still been unable to get his fever down. He has a very very severe infection and this is a situation of David and Goliath! They need our prayers in a desperate way!! Jeff, Kate and baby Mary Faith are at the hospital with Noah, 1 hour away, from their family in SC. The other 6 children are in their hometown, and are absolutely a basket case. They know Noah is desperately ill. Their oldest sister is helping with them during the day and between Jeff's parents and Kate's they are trying to help at night. I ask that you join with us in intercessory prayer for this family and on sweet little Noah!

"QUUUUUUUUUUUUUAAAAAAAAAAAACK" Dear baby!
40 days!

I don't know about you guys, but with heavy hearts, we are in a period of prayer and learning for our Presidential Elections. At my other site, I have listed tons and tons of resources, for free, that will be terrific for your family to learn a deeper learning of the elections, the processes and how important it is to vote. To go to the Specific List, you can click on This link and you will be directed there. I hope you enjoy what is there. Also make sure to sign up in the sidebar, for email notifications of when I update the site.

Thanks!!

Sorry I have been MIA lately. On Tuesday, I had to have some Oral Dental Surgery and had to be put to sleep, so I am still recovering from it. Anyway, I wanted to introduce the newest member or our clan:

Snowball's Queen Victoria "Tori"
DOB 7-12-08
Mostly white except for fawn spots on her ears and a fawn spot on her face.

Here (below) is Leia and her new sister, although she thinks it is one of her pups, but that was intentional.

(Below) Who ever says that Bulldogs are dumb! Well they are not and particularly when it comes to food! It doesn't take long to figure out where that comes from, lol:

Seeing that my friend Angie at Kudzu Grows posted this I thought it was too good not to pass along to others. Those close to me know I love Voddie Baucham and his leadership. He has an interesting debate on CNN about Sarah Palin as VP.

Wow! Just wow!

I have been dismayed by the people who are willing to support Obama, just because he is black ("just to make history"). Just recently I found out that he supported legislation in IL while there, that when aborted babies were born ALIVE and premature, they were left there to suffer and die. I mean this is just one more thing that adds to my fear, if he were to get into office. I was enlightened by the following video....

Must See video:

AND, this is in today. As if we didn't need MORE proof, this Gaffe happened today:

FREE Audio!

Our children LOVE audio dramatized stories. Just love them. Particularly Bible and history. I have bought many cd's for our children. Well over at my Homeschooling 4 Free site, I have many, many links, including audio links. I knew that our oldest loved listening to old time audio with Sherlock Holmes. So I was looking through the list. I had JUST bought a set of MP3 cd's from someone we know and love in the homeschool market. I paid $30. I was looking through the list, only to find out that These audios! also included the SAME stories that I just paid $30 for! When you click on this link, you will find literally hundreds of links. Scroll down to "You Were There". You can download 5 MP3 stories for FREE my friends. FREE! Not only that, there are MORE stories on the downloads, then on the cd's I bought. I am still scrolling through them, but they are too good not to mention. I hope, if you haven't been already, to visit over to my Homeschooling 4 Free site and take a look over there. I hope it is a blessing to all.

Some sweet pictures of the furbabies. They are getting SO big. They will be 3 weeks old this Tuesday. We will have them checked at the vet for deworming and see if there are any issues we need to be aware of..

(We have nicknamed this one "Hershey" because she has what looks like a hershey's kiss on top of her head and she is more of a chocolate brown color).

(Getting eye 2 eye with mommy to play.)

(This one is a boy and the first one to walk. He is still "wobbly" but very mobile. The others are coming along nicely).

(Mommy ATTACK! Mommy wanna play?? No over here, no over here, no over here. Game on!)

Mommy you want to play? Ready, set go!
And the FAR LEFT want this guy to be president?? You have GOT to be kidding?? If you aren't scared and shaken after this one, there is something wrong with you!

One thing that my family LOVES to do is to have cookie dough on hand and to bake fresh. One great way to ensure that to happen, is to make multiple batches, put wax paper on a cookie sheet and put your cookie dough, with a cookie dough scooper on there and freeze. Then we take the cookie dough balls, and put about 18 balls, in a quart bag, and put it back in the freezer. That way, we can pull as many out as needed.

Today I made 4 batches. You bake at 375 *I like 350* for 8-10 minutes. I just made a chart and did this batch 4x.(this recipe is for 1 batch)

2 1/4 c flour (I used soft white wheat)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
3/4 brown sugar (I used Sucanat)
3/4 granulated sugar (I used sucanat with honey or sucanat crystals)
1 c soft butter (I use real butter)
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
12 oz chocolate chips
1 c chopped nuts (I used walnuts)
