Birthday Celebration!

Yesterday was a pretty good day. We went to church and was blessed to be there. Had a good sermon on THE church being built upon the rock. In some churches, this sermon would be sweetened down and even told to the kids but our pastor has had wonderful insight to find the "details" of the word and has so much info that he has put it into 3 sermons. After church, we drove across town to meet the inlaws for my Mother in Laws Birthday. Both my mother in law AND father in law are idential twins. Her birthday is actually Valentine's Day, but it was better for everyone to celebrate yesterday. We met at an Italian restaurant. My husband's brother, his fiance, his sister and her family and his parents were all there (and us). My mother in law turned 70(and lookin fabulous!) My future Sister in law (come August) made the fabulous cake. The outside was fondant and the inside was a marble cake. It was very good.

Today, I am trying to do school, go to piano, and hopefully go to the dump. I also have to deliver bread to our vet and then I am taking some to our neighbor too. I would love to get some recycled tires for our gardening. Aaron is working from home today (YEAH!). We always love it when he is home. It is a bank holiday but he still works with the main company today (he will probably do some online training).

Sorry we haven't been on in a while. With the holidays and such it has been a tremendously busy time around here. Here are a few updates:

13 years ago, around Thanksgiving time:
I was ready to pop with our first baby. I was well over a week overdue and the doctors were hoping that I would just go into labor on my own. Well I didn't. I guess he wanted to cook longer, lol. They finally scheduled me for inducement at Kennestone Hospital, in Marietta, Georgia, On November 26th, 1993. I went in about 7 am and they started the pitocin. They were thinking an average baby, from what they could feel. Well, 8 hours later (not bad for the first baby) and 16 days late, with an epidural, no less, we welcomed our first son, Lover of History.

They whisked him away (before the whole LDR/Birthing Rooms) to the nursery. My parents and in-laws left with the baby, including my husband. My mom comes running back about 20 minutes later to let me know that the 7.5-8 lb little boy they thought we had was acutally 9 lbs. 1 oz and 22 inches long!!! I had the stitches to prove it, lol. What a joyous time but with a first baby, we didn't know what to expect.
Here is a picture with myself, my husband and our new baby, in 1993.

The Lord has blessed us with a well rounded, loving, compassionate, empathetic and Godly young man that is headed towards Biblical Manhood. He is a blessing to all and is VERY smart, indeed. We are so proud of him. So proud of the person and young man he is becoming and so proud that God allowed us to be his parents. It truly is a blessing. We love you very much!!!
