We are thankful to be close to a family that has blueberry bushes that line their property. She allows people to come and pick blueberries for $4 a GALLON. That isn’t a misprint. We have picked 6 Gallons so far and frozen them. GREAT blueberries and they are all natural. One thing we made today was Blueberry Scones. I thought I would share the recipe here for you all to enjoy.

Blueberry Scones

2 c freshly milled wheat flour (I used hard white)
½ tsp salt
3 tsp. baking powder
¼ tsp. baking soda

Cut in 4 tbsp. butter

Add in 1 cup heavy whipping cream

Fold in 1 cup frozen or fresh blueberries. Only fold maximum 5 times. Roll out on flowered cutting board. Use biscuit cutter to cut. Bake at 425 for 10-12 minutes.

Topping:
2 cups confectioner’s sugar
4 tbsp. milk
½ tsp vanilla
4 oz. softened cream cheese

After scones come out, drizzle topping on warm scones.
