I am not crazy about the syrup in the new book for THM so I adapted a former recipe that I made a long time ago. We do order VT maple syrup by the gallon but I know it's not THM friendly......so I let the kids have the real stuff and we make our own for hubby & I. Depending on your serving size, this can be an FP.
1 1/2cups sweetener (I like a combination of xylitol, erythritol and stevia, powdered. You might know it as Gentle Sweet)
3/4 c water
1 1/2 T black strap molasses
1/2 tsp pure vanilla
1 tsp butter flavoring
1 tsp maple flavoring
Mix together until dissolved...serve warm...mmmmmm!
