It has been busy, like everyone else but I am still keeping an eye on a few things. One is the New Administration in DC and the other one is the CPSIA. I, like many of you, was not happy that our Government wants to BORROW another $800 million dollars for a "boost" to the economy. We don't own our country anymore. China and others do. Now, while I was in our car and on our way home from taking our son to piano, I was in complete SHOCK and bewilderedment that Nancy Pelosi has decided that Birth Control will boost the economy. This woman is a 5 time MOTHER and a 6 time grandmother, and she thinks that somehow pushing birth control and the number of children to be had, is the way to go. Children are now somehow a BURDEN to our economy? Please help me here. I am in complete shock. Children are supposed to be seen as blessings, and not burdens. For more insight on this subject, I cannot get enough of Voddie Baucham. He did an absolutely fabulous job of relaying a message at the Southern Baptist convention in Texas on The Centrality of the Home.

Finally over to my poor and neglected blog. We have had major computer issues, but I think we are on the up and up. For those that are following the CPSIA and how it will effect all of us and many, many homeschool businesses, I wanted you to know specifics. Our dear friends at Hands and Hearts will loose their only source of income, like many other businesses. Places like Etsy.com, ebay, thrift stores, libraries (yes I said libraries) and any other thing that is "made for a child under the age of 12". You can read Hands And Hearts Newsletter here where they they announce the discontinuation of their History Kits. Also to read more into detail and specifics on this absolutely ridiculous and haneous law, you can go HERE. Make sure you take the time to take action and be proactive on this subject. Do you realize how this will not only effect online stuff, but most of your major, family owned homeschool businesses will NOT be allowed to be at the homeschool conferences and they will fold?? (because they cannot run the conferences without the vendors! I used to be one!) This is a snowball that will be an avalanche and this is why February 10th is being called "National Bankruptcy Day".
