We have been so busy so I am going to take some time to catch you up on things. I am not that big a reader, so when I do read something and it makes an impact I would like to post it here. The Lord has lead us in different directions since arriving here in GA. We have become disheartened by some of the larger "mega" dispensational churches. Their lack of including families as units is really really bothersome. They SAY that they are family oriented, but you rarely here teaching of the fathers on HOW to be the leaders of the home. You ALWAYS see the segregation of people into Groups and by ages, but hardly ever do you see an all inclusive family events. Even Christmas events in Sunday school, children were NOT allowed (which is sad). I think the Lord has allowed all of these things to happen to us (amongst other many things) to bring us to where we are today. We are still working on it and we are striving not to have our children in the same position we are (growing up to not know WHAT they believe, outside of the SAME 40 bible stories OVER AND OVER AND OVER, with NO meat)

First of all I have wanted to post about the book I read recently. We were at the boys piano practice and the teacher and her husband are kind of in a similar position as we are where we have been Disallousioned by some churches. He handed me this book:

It is a small book, but it helped me understand where we are at the moment and where we want to go. For it being a little book, it is a powerful book. Just that season where we are right now.

Now a last Sunday, we were invited over to the house of a new couple in our church that just moved here from Salt Lake City UT. He was trying to help us understand the difference between Dispensational churches and Reformed Baptist churches (I was Like UH? I didn't know there were that many baptist churches?!? BUT we coudl tell a HUGE difference, and I mean HUGE between the two!!!) So he told us about this movie that is put out by www.apologeticsgroup.com and we are watching it not only the two of us but as a family too. If you are there (which I know a couple of my readers are, this is EXTREMELY helpful!! Rats!! How frustrating it is to save a picture and not to be able to get it up to upload!!! (DeEtta, my cyber friend knows what I mean!!). Anyway, it is called "Amazing Grace: The History and Theology of Calvanism". Anyway it is a new adventure, and we are trying to figure it out. We are also doing little "Catechism" (questions and answers about faith) for the boys so that as they grow up and go ye out into the "Den of Wolves" (the world), they are able to have a strong foundation of their faith (and ours too). Let me know if you have any questions. I might post more later as we go through it.

Have a good one!

Well...now...the only thing more frustrating this week than blogger eating my pictures is the fact that the computer completely FROZE and I seem to have lost all files and Windows....I don't like the boy's computer...but I'm thankful to have one....and I wish I had access to my photo files to TRY to load a photo or two. :::snort:::

I've heard about Revolution...I'd love to hear more...I may have to check it out. I'm currently reading "The Barbarian Way" and really enjoying it.
