Finally, about our trip.

We left here Thursday evening and decided to drive as far as we could. Since I had rewards points, we made reservations at a hotel in Gainesville, FL. We got in late, but it was a nice one! We left, after breakfast that morning and 2 hours later, arrived in Kissimmee. Hairy-Dawg had ordered discounted tickets through his work, so we picked those up and went by the townhouse to unpack and drop of our Princess Leia. We got dressed and headed to Lake Wales (one hour south of Kissimmee and where I went to college) and visited with some friends. One set of friends, the Barretts I have known since living in Milwaukee. They went to our church and are such a special couple to our family and good friends with my parents. They are not in the best of health and really wanted to see them. The boys were well behaved and we had a wonderful visit. Here are some picts from that:

Then we went to my friends house that I knew in College. My friend, Dave has been fighting a valliant battle with Liver cancer. So we drove across the street to see, Cyndi, Dave and their "kids", Toby, Little, and Cruiser. Here are some picts from that.

We had a blast with them and enjoyed so much visiting. The kids also had a ball visiting and enjoyed getting re-aquainted with the "kids".

I ask though that you keep both of these families in your prayers. They truly need it as they are up against some rough days ahead.
