Digital Scrapbooking:

I have lots of papers, embellishments and die cuts for scrapbooking and I have thought about going into my basement to begin. There are so many that I would like to do. Time and etc have gotten in the way.

I have been looking at this method of scrapbooking for many months if not close to a year, after some cyber friends started discussing it on my homeschooling yahoo group. I have even downloaded templates, etc too. I have been looking at tutorials through Photoshop and other areas, but some of them are too time consuming and I am really a hands on learner. It would also be nice and easier to have templates to access. This week I heard of a website that is charging .99 to print 12x12 sheets. It is calledScrapbooks Please. Then I am on a blog carnival of sorts where I went to this Blog where she talks about a free tutorial and download. You can access it Here. In addition to Shutterfly another one you can try is Scrap Blog. Scrapbook Generator is also free and easy. I am looking forward to going into detail with it myself!

I know some of you do scrapbook and some don't. OHH before I forget, I was in Best Buy a few weeks ago, when they had on clearance for $5 an 8x10 create your own scrapbook by Epson. I will use those too for our "Year in Review".

Enjoy!

Beth,

I received your comment on my blog (www.babyaddiction.blogspot.com). I tried to respond, but the email delivery has failed. I'll respond here, but apologize in advance for the long comment!

Begin at scrapblog.com

1. Create your scrapblog

2. Save your scrapblog

3. From the 'File' menu, select 'Export as JPEG'

4. Select 'Download' beneath the preview picture

5. Select 'Save'

6. Name the file and save it to your computer
(Note: A preview window appears and it looks like the page didn't load properly. Ignore this. The file will save correctly.)

7. Open your jpeg file to make sure it is saved

8. Repeat this process for each page of your scrapblog (each page will be saved as a separate jpeg file)

After you've created the jpeg files, you can go to the snapfish website and import the jpegs into an online photo album as pictures. After you create the album, begin creating any calendar and use the jpeg files as your photos.

Let me know if you have any problems with scrapblog or if you need more specific instructions for snapfish.

If you'd like to see examples of the pages I made for our calendar, you can find them on the scrapblog site. In the search for People function, search for "Poohbaby518."

I hope you have as much fun with this project as I did!
