It's a Small World after all........

Well, Saturday was our first day to begin our quest to Disney World. We decided to start with Magic Kingdom.

The weather was AWESOME, around high 70's, lows upper 50's/60's. Crowds weren't bad, except during the light parade, but we knew that would happen. One thing that we felt was helpful not only this time, but other times before was a book I bought at Borders. It was Called Walt Disney World with Kids. She updates it every year. She offers such great advice. What to do when, strategies, what isn't worth it, best time of day, etc etc. We of course took our food, water, snacks in with us. Since this was our first day, we weren't sure, but it was okay. We then rented a double stroller (we will buy one next time before we go) to carry our coolers and backpack with camera equipment. We got there about 8:45 am and we were 3 rows from the front. That was cool. We went straight to Dumbo, because we knew it was a SLOW ride and Traveller would want to ride it so we did, all of us.
We did everything in the park. The first thing that made LOH really really really happy was seeing his favorites, Pinocchio and Gepetto.
We also rode the Mad Hatters Tea party ride. DIIIIIIIIIIIZZZZZZZZYYYYYYY!!

Mr. Athletic and Traveller both are becoming Roller Coaster Enthusiasts. Mr Atletic was hestitant at first, but Hairy-Dawg got him to ride Space Mountain with him, and he was HOOOKED!

Of course, one of my favorite places to go, is the Infamous, It's A Small World Ride. That song stays with you forever, but memories abound, including when my Mammaw went through and her face lit up.

LOH's favorite was the Swiss Family Robinson's house and Island. HE was so excited.

WATCH OUT! 11 year old driver ALERT!

Then we ended the day, with the all exciting SpectroMagic Lights parade. What a great Day!

And then we ended the night with the spectacular, this:

OH, it just sounds so wonderful!!! I know you had a fabulous time!!! I love your pictures of the fireworks! Mine didn't turn out nearly so well. And, all the great rides... how did you like Pirates of the Carribean? They closed it for remodeling right after we were there in March. I agree that now through winter is the time to go. You just can't beat those wonderful temperatures and low crowds! It's all great fun!!!! I'll keep checking back for more updates! Glad y'all are home safe and sound!!

Lady Why,
Pirates was working. I guess when you were there they were adding the Jack Sprat stuff, but we didn't see the movie, and wouldn't have known who it was but due to the promotional stuff. I did think of you guys though, especially when we saw the pirate potato head and the other stuff too. Did you see my top 10 ways to save money at DW post?

BTW it looks like we are making a day trip over there Mon to see my friend, Joy. Hubby is going out of town for the week.
